Rowberton is bringing something new and exciting to the UK’s horse lovers – sustainable equestrian-inspired clothing. Founded by Sophie Robbins, a horse lover with a solid pedigree in fashion design, Rowberton neatly fills a gap between riding apparel and everyday clothing. The equestrian-inspired clothes are sustainable and ethically-produced. The collection comprises t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts and base layers that will take the wearer effortlessly from the yard to coffee dates, shops and the sofa!
A fashion designer with a passion for equestrianism
Sophie spent 20 years designing clothes for high-profile brands such as Miss Selfridge, Warehouse and Next, before starting a new career working as a graphic designer. That means she has a keen eye for fashion and design, bringing together beautiful colour palettes, prints and designs all with one thing in common. Equestrian-inspired spirit and sass! As a keen horse lover, Sophie loves to spend as much of her day as possible around horses. Her two Appaloosas, a Welsh cob and a British spotted pony certainly keep her busy!
But out of the saddle Sophie yearned for clothing that featured horses but still looked fashionable. You won’t find brash colours or copied images here, Rowberton’s garments are gorgeous, fun, occasionally quirky and always easy-to-wear. The designs Sophie creates are borne out of a deep love for horses and a loyalty to the equestrian lifestyle
Taking a closer look at the Rowberton collection
The highlights from the new collection include the Signature Hoodie (£49.00), a cosy layer featuring the Rowberton logo on the front. The Love Heart Base Layer (£29.00) in white features a stunning subtle hand-drawn motif. We also love the retro-style crew neck on the Divine Equine Sweater (£45.00).
Rowberton was founded on a firm belief that clothes can be fashionable without being disposable. With her background in fashion, Sophie has seen first-hand the turnover of materials and resources. With Rowberton she wants people to slow down, buy carefully and buy less. Rowberton’s sustainable equestrian-inspired clothing is perfect for people who want to buy stylish horsey clothing whilst stepping away from ‘fast fashion’.
Animal lovers will be delighted to hear that the Rowberton range is 100% PETA-certified. This means the brand doesn’t conduct or commission any animal testing on the ingredients, formulations and finished products. The production process is also certified vegan, so no animals have come to any harm during manufacture.
The Rowberton collection is the perfect choice for equestrian clothing with a conscience. Sophie’s unique and beautiful designs are sure to turn heads when you head out competing and look equally good outside of a horsey environment!
