Black Nova Designs, an award-winning web design and hosting firm, is pleased to report that business is thriving. This exciting news comes despite the uncertainty and economic fear caused by the Covid-19 outbreak. A surge of new business

New business has surged throughout lockdown, with a spike in enquiries for new website design and hosting projects. Business owners and entrepreneurs are keen to pivot their brands to open up new sales channels during lockdown. Many are starting new brands to take advantage of current opportunities. Black Nova Designs has actually expanded during lockdown thanks to the high level of web design demand. A new and permanent staff member has joined the team of IT experts. The Black Nova team now numbers six and is perfectly placed to continue to offer the same high level of service even as those customer numbers grow and grow.

New skills to improve cyber security

Black Nova Designs has also gained Cyber Essentials accreditation during lockdown. This is another boost to the services it can offer customers. Cyber Essentials is a government-backed scheme which aims to give organisations the skills and knowledge to guard against cyber-attack. This new expertise is passed on to clients and contacts, ensuring they can use the internet for business whilst limiting the risk of cyber-attack. Cyber-attacks have risen by 43% during lockdown as online criminals and fraud gangs take advantage of the increase in home workers.

Black Nova Designs aims to serve each and every customer as though they are a member of the family. That’s why they have worked hard to secure a range of technology partnerships. The firm is an authorised Microsoft reseller, qualified Ubiquiti WiFi specialists, ESET antivirus software resellers as well as many more, to ensure they can continue to service customers in the fast-paced technology world. The firm’s experienced hardware technicians carry out laptop and PC repairs. The team also undertakes hard drive and WiFi installations for their customers.

Carrying on through adversity

IT providers are classified as key workers by the government, so the Black Nova Designs team were able to continue working throughout lockdown. Thankfully, home working systems were already in place so the adjustment was hassle free. The work was fitted in around home schooling and childcare because most of the team are parents. Danielle and Kyle are incredibly proud of the high customer service levels that were maintained.

Director and founder Danielle Holmes comments:
