Christmas might be T-10 weeks away but we’re not far off reaching peak shopping fever in the Best household! It was my husband Si’s birthday not long ago and he was spoilt rotten. But as a busy couple running our own businesses, we both know we need to plan ahead. In order to make sure we’re sorted with gifts wrapped and ready when Christmas rolls around. Plus, a certain spoilt terrier expects some of the gifts to smell like they might just be doggy treats and toys. Otherwise we will be in the doghouse.
I try to get some of my shopping done throughout the year. Keeping a beady eye out when I’m visiting shows or amazing country shops in the name of work. I’m very lucky that I also get to see some of the new country brands when they are about to launch gorgeous new products. Or helping them to take their brand out to shows and exhibitions for the very first time.
Speaking of both gifting and industry events, I’m so excited to share the news that Hooves & Love are taking their brand on the road for the first time and what’s more, they’re off to one of my favourite horsey events! Hooves & Love was founded by a lady called Emma who loves nothing more than seeking out unique and beautifully-made gifts for her friends and loved ones, The brand sells themed gift boxes stuffed with gorgeous products that you just won’t find in high street shops or your local saddler, and, as the name suggests ,they are all equestrian themed.
Hooves & Love will be at Your Horse Live at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire, which takes place from the 8th to the 10th of November. The timing is just perfect. Especially for those who are just starting to think about Christmas shopping. And will use the event to tick some horse mad people off their list! The 3-day show is a brilliant blend of equestrian shopping (there are over 400 exhibitors!) and competitions. As well as displays and demonstrations from some of the world’s best riders and trainers.
It’s a brilliant opportunity to immerse yourself in everything horsey for a few days. In addition to knowing you’ll come across new brands and products. Some you had no idea existed until you stumble upon them there. I can certainly guarantee that most of the visitors to the shopping are won’t have seen such a perfect collection of equestrian and country themed gifts until they get to the Hooves & Love stand! It’s an exciting step for this fledgling brand. So I shall look forward to catching up with Emma afterwards to see how it all went.
