How I sold out my coaching programme using Instagram stories

Instagram stories are MASSIVE. They’re always getting bigger and better. There’s always new features and more people are using them than ever before. They’re a great asset to the platform and have taken off immensely. They have more features than any others in similar platforms. They’re just epic (can you tell I love them!?) I recently wrote a blog about how to use them in business, which you can see here. But I wanted to share a little something with you….

In May, I actually SOLD OUT my coaching programme using just Instagram Stories.

Epic, right?! 

So, how did I do this?

Well, firstly I shared some of the key benefits of joining the coaching programme (in video form). I let people know of what we’ll cover and told them about payment plans and the fact it’ll be +VAT from the 1st June.

I also shared the limited availability of it. This is one to one coaching so time is limited. I don’t want to take on too many coaching clients and feel I’m unable to give each one the time and attention they deserve. So I had 3 spaces to fill with the next spaces not available until August.

I had a huge amount of interest and some people noted that actually the August start would be better for them. But, I sold out. Just using stories. All enquiries and successful starters of the Superstar PR 16 week programme came from Instagram Stories.

So don’t underestimate the power of them! Unlike with the Instagram feed, you’re not reliant on the algorithm loving you and your content. Social media doesn’t like ‘sales-y’ posts, which is fine! But the stories don’t seem to mind them! My clients also sell products direct from their stories – you can monitor the direct correlation!

So I encourage you to start using them! If you have a product, do an Instagram story showcasing the product, let people know of the benefits, let them know about your packaging, and pop the price on. If you have a service based business, share value, knowledge and expertise. Help people solve problems. Sell your services – if you offer a number of services, share them all! Once you’ve shared them as a story, you can then highlight them, so they continually stay on your Instagram bio.

The possibilities are endless!
